Mark began his working life in advertising before deciding he really wanted to be a thatcher, as he was always drawn toward work that was practical. Over the past three decades he has worked on everything from small cottages to larger country homes and theme parks.
He is closely involved with every project, ensuring the standard of work continues to reflect the qualities the business was built on.

Teige
Mark works alongside a small, long-standing team who share his approach to workmanship. Their experience and commintemt provide continuity, and the business is being prepared to pass naturally on to the next generation.
Tommy LeMay-Smith has been with Mark since he was 18 years old and is a key member of the team, with the ability to tackle almost any problem a roof can throw at him and more.
Teige Stewart is a qualified ex vet who decided working on a roof was far too tempting to resist! Teige is quickly learning what it takes to become a thatcher and has progressed over the last 2 years to become indispensable.
Dan Steen Qualified in rope access Dan joins us whenever he has a spare week or two. Always good to have him around.
